Today. after breakfast proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Munnar; Visit Eravikulam National Park to view endangered wild goat ‘ NilgiriTahr’.(National Park is Closed during the breeding season. Please check with us regarding the visit before your arrival). Visit Tea Museum and the Tea factory (Closed on Mondays), Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake. Overnight at the hotel.
After early breakfast drive to Thekkady and check-in at the hotel. Later enjoy game viewing on Lake Periyar. Later visit aromatic spice gardens where the air is laden with the fragrance of different spices from mace to Vanilla. Evening experience a ride on an elephant( optional). Overnight at the hotel.
Today, check out from the hotel and drive to the jetty to board House-boat (Kettuvallom) on the World famous Backwaters of Kerala. Kettu” literally means to tie up and “Vallom” means ” boats”. Alappuzha is a district of immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travellers from across the world, this backwater country is also home to diverse animals and birdlife. A singularity of this land is the region called Kuttanad- a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. A luxuries cruise along the palm-fringed waterways of Kerala in a houseboat is the most enchanting holiday one can dream of in the land, described as Gods own Country. You will cruise past the ancient Chinese fishing nets, lilies and lush paddy fields, coir villages and rustic homes, temples, among coconut groves. Meals are cooked and served on board the boat.
